BARBERING PROGRAM

If you’re creative, like meeting and working with people and are interested in hairstyling trends you could have a fun, rewarding career as a Barber As a Professional Barber you’ll be part of one of America’s best loved traditions. The Barbershop is an institution in this country; a place where people come for a clean shave, a great haircut and good conversation. But Barbering isn’t stuck in the past. Male and female Barbers are finding success cutting both men’s and women’s hair. And more and more Barbers are offering styling and speciality services like cornrows in addition classic cuts. When you study with Texas Barber College, you’ll learn the skills to succeed as a barber, whether you work for someone else, or start your own business.

Master Barber (1500 hours)

The Master Barber/Stylist program will give you the skills and confidence to excel as a Professional Barber. You'll approach the state licensing examinations backed by hands-on, industry-relevant experience and will make a seamless transition from training to the professional world.
Get the classic skills, newest techniques and hands-on experience you need to be a world-class barber, as well as the business skills and management preparation to launch a successful career.

Barber Instructor (1000 hours)

If you're already an experienced barber and are looking to share your skills and experience with up-and-comers by entering the fulfilling teaching profession, the Texas Barber Colleges Barber Instructor Course is perfect for you. With a Barber Instructors license you'll be qualifed to instruct in any Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations approved barber Schools.

Cosmetology (1500 hours)

Be an all-around expert. With training in Cosmetology you'll have the skills of an esthetician including makeup, styling, and all aspects of skin and nail care. And, you'll also be a skilled hairstylist. As a Cosmetology specialist you'll be able to create the total look from hair cut and color to mke-up application right down to the pedicured toes.

Manicurist (600 hours)

As a professional Manicurist you'll shape, enhance and beautify client's nails, on both thier hands and feet. You'll perform nail services such as manicure, pedicures, coloring and nail extensions. Evolving nail technology including new acrylic material for artificial material for artificial nails and things like stencils and gem application makes this a fun and exciting field to work in.

Shampoo Specialist (150 hours)

Working as a Shampoo Specialist is a great way to break into the Beauty Biz! This short program certifies you to work in a licensed beauty Salon shampooing, applying conditioners and rinses, scalp manipulation and acting as a knwoledgeable advisor on hair care products.

Braiding Specialist (35 Hours)

Be in-demand for your specialist skill braiding and hairweaving. Extensions are the biggest trend in hair styling today. Master all types of extension application and be looked to for your expertise. With Hairweaving/Braiding Specialist on your resume you’ll stand out among other hairstylist without this in-demand specialization.
